Construction of a new passenger terminal at Kurumoch Airport began in July 2013. The area of the terminal is 42 thousand square meters. m, carrying capacity – 3.5 million passengers per year. The terminal is equipped with seven teletraps (two of which are twin), 24 check-in counters and four luggage carousels. On December 24, 2014, the Federal Air Transport Agency issued “Permission for the commissioning of a new passenger terminal with associated infrastructure facilities” and “Permission for the commissioning of a new cargo complex with built-in administrative and domestic premises” of the Samara airport.
December 28, 2014 “Kurumoch” served on arrival the first test flight of regular airlines in the new passenger terminal. And today the official opening of the new airport terminal took place.
