The new Saratov airport “Gagarin” opened its doors to passengers and began flight operations on August 20, 2019. The airport of Saratov is the largest infrastructure project implemented in civil aviation of Russia in 2019.
The project was carried out through public-private partnership between the Government of Russia, the government of Saratov region, and the management company “Airports of Regions”.
The “Expromt” factory has participated in the construction of the airport complex. Decorative wall panels were installed for retail stores located in waiting area for domestic and international departures. The partition walls are 4.5 meters in height and 110 meters in length.
The factory has carried out the project on a turnkey basis, including development of technical documentation, fabrication and installation of metal framework, and cladding panels made of HI-Macs acrylic solid surface. The total area of acrylic solid surface cladding amounted to over 1000 square meters.
